Objective:
To validate the given tractor mount for stress and deflection to provide design solution.
 
Description:
The client is located at Mid-west who is a manufacturer direct to fit Tractor components.
 
Frequent design changes, repeated validation and release of manufacturing drawing was burdening the client preventing him from New product development activity.
 
SRA Systems was identified to be the potential solution provider for all their re designed components and assemblies.
 
Tractor Loader Mount was provided in 3D CAD format to conduct Finite Element Analysis.  The assembly was taken through a completed FE pre and post processing using high-end FEA packages.
 

The design stress was found to be below the yield strength of the material in the hot spot regions.  The product was modified digitally for running another iteration to bring the design stress below the yield strength.  A detailed report on the pros and cons along with analysis report was submitted to the client.
 
Benefit:
This repeated outsourcing of validation and detailing job helped the client to concentrate more on New Product Development and attending to customer needs.  SRA Systems was considered to be extended offshore development center outsides of client’s office.  This has directly reduced 30-40% of client’s cost and time.
